Race4Scholars Criterium, announced toady that Pittsburg, PA native, Richard Fries will emcee the
inaugural Danbury Audi Race4Scholars Criterium on Sunday, August 17, 2014. Event proceeds will

“What’s great about Danbury is that it’s kind of in New York but in New England. You get the hottest
talent from those two regions smashing into those national caliber teams,” said Richard Fries. “What I
also love is how these New England communities are anchored around their town centers.” “When there
is something in town, everybody comes out.” “This promises to be another fantastic race.”

category races and two professional races. The course is a classic four-‐corner criterium, making the
course fast and challenging for top professional cyclists and amateurs from across the tri-‐state area.
Racing starts at 8:30 a.m.

spectator and bring them through the entire anatomy of a bike race,” said Duane E. Perkins, President of

to formulate opinions on race strategy, team tactics and ultimately they make predictions on the race
