Tom Saadi is serving his 8th term on the Danbury City Council he also serves as a State Assistant Attorney General and a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve. He is the Danbury City Council Democratic Minority Leader and has served on and Chaired many major Council Committees addressing issues ranging from public safety, neighborhood blight, Veteran and Senior tax relief and Education funding.
As an Assistant Attorney General in the State’s Consumer Protection Division Tom has litigated major cases resulting in the recover of millions of dollars for Connecticut consumers and payment of civil penalties to the State. In 2012 Tom was appointed a Special Prosecutor handling home improvement contractor cases.
Tom joined the Army Reserve in 2005 and completed Office Basic training in 2006 and Officer Advanced training in 2014. He has received several awards and commendations including the Army Achievement Medal with Oak Leaf, Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf and the Meritorious Service Medal. He is currently assigned to the 4th Legal Operations Detachment’s West Point Legal Team.
Tom is active with many civic and social organizations in Greater Danbury and serves on Boards of Immaculate High School, the Lebanon American Club of Danbury. He lives in Danbury with his wife Valerie Ventura-Saadi and their twin children, Sabrina and Jacob.
